Comprehensive training on safe backup methods of PostgreSQL databases. The course programme covers various techniques of making copies, ranging from basic, built-in tools to the advanced techniques which use special file systems.
As the database size increases the backup problem is becoming increasingly important and more difficult to solve at the same time. Our trainers show different approaches to the problem, focusing on the analysis of the business costs and benefits of every of them. Equally important part of the correctly implemented backup system is monitoring which is also discussed during the training.
We introduce practical solutions that have actually worked in existing applications. At last, the database administrator motto is “successful copies do not exist, there are only their successful restorations.”
Our instructors have many years of experience with PostgreSQL, both as administrators and as programmers. One of our trainers is a PostgreSQL contributor and a regular speaker at the world’s largest conference on the topic.
